The Industrial Revolution
Great Britain 1750-1850
From the mid-18th century, England undergoes a profound technological, economic and social change: the "Industrial Revolution". Forces are unleashed which prove to be both a blessing and a curse for mankind. From England, industrialisation spreads throughout the world.
The main film provides an overview of the causes, history and consequences of the Industrial Revolution in Great Britain. The seven modules are suitable for developing and expanding individual teaching areas: The factory system, child labour, textile technology, iron production, the steam engine, the railway, as well as initial social reforms.
Excitingly and instructively told, featuring interviews with scientific experts and supporting didactic material, this DVD is perfectly suited for history lessons and all those interested in history.
